Are you struggling with your eating habits?

I’ll support you in satisfying your emotional hunger. You’ll learn to stop continuously thinking about food and cease fighting against your body.

How often have you already eaten today without being really hungry?

After work you’re lying on the couch while scrolling through Instagram and nibbling on crisps, chocolate and co. In doing so, you’re perfectly aware that it does not help at all with your intention to relax – but you’re too worn out to think about any other measures.

Sounds familiar? Then allow me to tell you: you’re not alone in this and there is nothing wrong with you! Food has the ability to provide emotional relief. However, said relief only lasts for a very short time and is subsequently replaced by totally different emotions such as shame, guilt or anger.

What’s more, overeating often leads to weight gain – something you don’t actually want at all, right?

This is where a vicious cycle begins: overeating, followed by attempts to compensate for the calories. Common consequences include excessive exercise, skipping meals, or purging – not to punish yourself, but to escape the uncomfortable feeling of being stuffed and the emotions that come with it.

Over time, your body starts to feel like the enemy, while your mind becomes consumed by your eating behavior.

And yet, all you wish for is peace instead of a constant battle with yourself and your body

You finally want to focus on other topics and not constantly think about what you’ve already eaten, what you’re going to eat and in which way this might be too much or too little.

This includes that exercising should bring you joy again instead of just serving as a means to loose calories.

What’s more, you miss eating out in a relaxed way. Instead, when you go out to eat, your thoughts revolve around whether the food will exceed the number of calories you allow yourself – leaving no room for enjoyment.

In short, you long to live in a way that aligns with your deepest needs and to stop trying to fill an inner void with food.

Your needs are in
good hands with me.

I used to share them myself and know firsthand the depth of suffering emotional hunger can cause.

Through my own experience and many years of professional expertise as a psychologist, I support you in breaking free from this vicious cycle.

My Offerings
Psychological coaching for emotional hunger – to nourish you from within and to develop relaxed eating habits

My coaching has one clear aim: to help you discover who you truly are. Only then can you understand what you genuinely need and what nourishes you on every level.

To guide you there, I developed a highly effective approach that integrates well-founded psychological work with yogic principles. In our work, yoga is not primarily about physical postures (asanas), but about exploring what you may truly be missing or needing – using the Kosha model as a framework.

The Kosha model offers a holistic view of the human being. It leads us step by step from the outermost layer, the body, toward our inner self. That is why I describe my counseling as an inner journey – one that goes beyond pure cognition, without drifting into esotericism or pseudo-science.

How to work with me:

The Coaching Process

1

Would you like to explore a new path to overcoming emotional hunger or puzzling eating patterns? Book a free, non-committal clarity call to find out how I can best support you. Our conversation will last around 25 minutes and can take place via Zoom or a messenger service such as WhatsApp or Telegram – either with or without video.

We’ll talk about what you’re currently struggling with and see whether we feel a sense of alignment and, if so, how working together could look. It’s important to me that you feel comfortable and at ease –because meaningful change is only possible when there is a sense of trust and connection. We’ll also look at my different coaching packages and discuss which option I would recommend for you. In most cases, my coaching is designed to span several months in order to support deep and lasting change.

Please note: it is completely fine if you decide against coaching after our call. There are no further costs or obligations.

2

If we decide to work together, we’ll set a date for your first session, starting with an in-depth anamnesis so I can truly understand your story.

3

Then, I will take a close look at your eating behavior, with particular attention to your emotional hunger. Together, we’ll explore which parts of your hunger are emotional and which are physical. This allows me to tailor the counseling precisely to your individual needs.

4

As our work continues, we’ll use the Kosha model alongside regular conversations to move closer to your true self and to discover what you genuinely need to nourish the hunger that cannot be met with food alone.

FAQs about my Psychological Coaching

My coaching is designed for women and men who experience their eating behavior as problematic. This includes people with diagnosed eating disorders as well as those with more subtle patterns that still significantly reduce their quality of life. Many of my clients have already been in therapy and are looking for a new approach to finally gain clarity and stability around their eating behavior. Previous therapy experience, however, is not a prerequisite.

If you’re unsure whether my coaching is right for you, feel free to book a clarity call so we can talk through your situation and the details together.

No, you don’t. My coaching is grounded in two pillars: my scientific approach as a long-term psychologist and the yogic Kosha model, which I use to help you more easily identify your true needs. I understand spirituality in a very down-to-earth way and always embed it within a scientific context. It has nothing to do with esotericism or toxic positivity. Depending on your individual situation, I may recommend specific yoga sequences to support our work. We’ll discuss all relevant details throughout the coaching process.

In my coaching, I use tools drawn from my long-term experience as a psychologist. Some of these may feel familiar if you have been in therapy before – however, my overall approach is different. Rather than focusing on strategies to change your eating behavior or eliminate symptoms, I support you in understanding why these patterns exist and what you truly need to nourish yourself in different ways. To facilitate this process, I work with the Kosha model, which gently guides you inward and helps you reconnect with who you truly are.

I can give a more precise answer after a clarity call, as this depends on your individual situation. In my experience, meaningful and lasting change usually unfolds over the course of several months. In some cases, however, a smaller number of sessions may be sufficient to address specific triggers and integrate them effectively. It is important to me not to create long-term dependency. For this reason, sessions are gradually reduced toward the end of the process by increasing the time between appointments.

At the beginning, we usually schedule one session per week. Depending on your needs and individual situation, we can also meet more frequently – or less frequently – if helpful.

Let’s address your emotional hunger together

I know firsthand how deeply eating problems can affect your life, because I experienced them myself for many years. I also know how difficult it can be to break free from these patterns. By integrating my psychological training with what I learned through practicing yoga, I was able to do just that. Today, this integrative approach forms the foundation of my psychological coaching, and I use it to support you in transforming your eating habits.
